Brady got his birthday gift from Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Chuck in the mail this week. It is a Rock-n-Ride Bull and Brady thinks it is great! You squeeze it's ears and it plays music and sings. Everytime we'd make it sing, Brady would smile and start rocking. It was so cute! Thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa for the great present!
I took Brady to Penny's on his birthday to have his picture taken. Afterwards, we spent some time playing in the play area at the mall. Rayna has always loved playing there and now Brady is big enough that he can play too. He loved it! He thought it was so funny crawling through the tunnels and playing peek-a-boo.
Today our baby boy turns one. I can't even believe it. Even with the birthday party over the weekend, I think I was still in denial that he was actually turning one. But now the day is here. This time last year I was being prepped for surgery and preparing to meet our little man. He is such a wonderful blessing and even though we've had a long, hard, sleepless year with him, it was all worth it. He has gotten to be so much fun and he makes me smile everyday. He is such a wonderful addition to our family. So here are some pictures of our big one year old (actually they were taken yesterday, but I figured that was close enough). Today we are going out on the town for some shopping and picture taking. Happy Birthday, Brady!
Here's a picture of it. Brady finally got his first tooth! About time! It actually came in a couple of weeks ago, but I couldn't get a picture of it. Too cute! At least he got one before his first birthday!
We had Brady's birthday party on Saturday. It was a Rubber Ducky party because he LOVES bath time. We had a wonderful time. Lots of family and friends came over to help us celebrate. Thank you to all of you who came. It was a fun and special afternoon.
Since Brady's party theme was rubber ducky, I made him a rubber ducky cake in a bath tub. I thought it turned out very cute. I also made him his own little smash cake which he loved!
Brady was hilarious with his cake. When he first touched it he got this horrified look on his face and didn't quite know what to do. He then tasted it and then tasted it again. After about three tastes, he started digging in with both hands. He probably would've eaten the whole thing, but we took it away after a few minutes. He ate a good third of it. That boy loved his cake!
Brady had lots of help opening his presents! It was very cute watching all the other little kids try to help. Thank you so much everyone for all the great gifts. Brady loves them all!
Brady had his 12 month check-up yesterday. I'm not sure why they scheduled it a week before his birthday because we have to go back next week to get his shots. But anyway, he looks great! He weighed in at 23lbs. 12oz. and was 28 1/2 inches long. I was kind of surprised at his weight since he was 23lbs 6oz. at his 9 month appt., but he did lose quite a bit of weight last month when he had the flu. Our little boy is growing up. I can't believe he's going to be one next week! Of course, I had to add in a picture of Rayna. She always wants her picture taken when I'm taking a picture of Brady. Such a silly girl!
Saturday was beautiful here and we were able to get outside and get some work done around the house. The kids had so much fun playing outside! Rayna figured out that she really can push the pedals on her bike all by herself (she kept telling us she couldn't, but she wouldn't even try). Brady hung out in the jumperoo for over an hour and was so happy just watching everyone. It was a great day!
A couple of cute new pictures of the kids. Notice Rayna has no clothes on. She never wants to keep them on anymore. You would think she would be freezing, but she doesn't care. Silly girl!
