Rayna's 3 Year Pictures

Okay, so I finally took Rayna in to get her 3 year picture taken. So, technically, she is 3 years and 3 months. I thought they turned out fantastic! I am so thankful because I didn't think it was going to happen. She started to get really nervous in the beginning and even started to cry. But we took a little break and then we got her laughing and got some great shots! She looks so grown up!

Our Day At The Beach

We went over to the beach on Saturday to escape from the 100+ degree weather we'd been having. It was so nice! It was in the 60's there and was a beautiful partly cloudly day. We played on the beach, had a picnic, walked around the harbor and ejoyed the local farmer's market and craft fair, played at the playground, and had a yummy dinner. It was a great day away!

Fun with Daddy! The kids and daddy had fun getting dirty in the sand. Rayna likes to make sand angels and got daddy to do it too.

Rayna loved the beach as usual. She had so much fun running around playing tag and other games. Her favorite part was playing in the water. She didn't want to stop!

Brady had soooo much fun at the beach! He didn't care how dirty he got and kept laying in the sand and rolling around in it. He loved digging in it too! He also really liked playing on the shore in the water. It didn't scare him at all. In fact, he kept wanting to go out farther!

I kept trying to get a good picture of both the kids together, but it is nearly impossible. As soon as one would look at me and smile, the other one would look away. Or get up and walk away.

We had some extra time before dinner so we took the kids to Azaela Park to play at the cool park. They both had so much fun climbing all around. It helped to tire them out even more so that they both crashed on the way home and didn't wake up until the next morning!

Josephine County Fair

We spent all day Thursday at the Josephine County Fair. We got up there at 7:30 to watch our nephew Joshua do his food prep competition. Then we walked around the fair and saw all the animals and exhibits. Joshua also had his pig there so Rayna got to go in the pen with him and pet Chewbacca. She loves the pigs! Later that afternoon we watched him do his presentation and then spent some more time walking around. It was an extremely hot day (109!!) and also a very long day, but we had a great time!

The Petting Zoo

Both the kids loved the petting zoo! Brady was a little unsure at first, but quickly warmed up to the animals. Rayna was all over the place, petting any animal she could!

Stick Horse Competition

Rayna and Drew got to enter in a stick horse competition at the fair. Rayna rode on Cupcake and did great! They had to race around the poles in the arena and then go back as fast as they could. It was too cute! All the kids got prizes and Rayna ended up with a ribbon, a bag of candy, and a stuffed animal. She was so excited!!

Cooling Off

The thermometer at the fairgrounds said it was 109 degrees the day we were there. It was HOT! Thankfully they had some misting areas where you could cool off. Rayna, Brady, and Drew had so much fun playing in them and were absolutely soaking wet! But it cooled them off so that was good. And it didn't take very long for them to dry off!

Bull Riding

The entertainment at the fair that night was bull riding. Rayna was so excited to see real cowboys ride real bulls. She and Brady love riding his bull at home, so she thought it would be great to see the real thing.
